Sprint Triathlon

Have you ever wanted to do a triathlon or add something different to your training schedule? The Tri To Help™ sprint indoor triathlon for epilepsy is just for you. Participants are comprised of mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, athletes and non-athletes that want to get involved in helping to raise awareness and find a cure for epilepsy.

We bring a popular sporting event indoors protected from the elements when it is too wet, cold or hot outside to train or compete! Participants seem to love this off season event whether they are training for a big triathlon or completing a challenging goal for their first time.

Unlike many other indoor triathlons that have evenly timed disciplines, the Tri To Help™ event was developed to closely translate to an outdoor sprint triathlon. As the originator of the 10-30-20 swim-bike-run disciplines, the Tri To Help™ indoor triathlon is based on time unlike an outdoor triathlon based on distance – 60 minutes of racing for each participant. Performance is measured by total distance covered in the time allowed. The more distance you cover, the higher your score.

The 60 minute triathlon consists of the following disciplines:

  • 10-minute swim in lap pool
  • 10-minute transition (swim to bike)
  • 30-minute bike on spin bike
  • 5-minute transition (bike to run)
  • 20-minute treadmill run

All participants will receive a finisher’s shirt when completed. Also, the top fundraiser will receive a cash prize (see sponsor form for details). You do not have to be a participant in the triathlon event to be eligible for the cash prize.
